Rebecca is the prime example of being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Walking home from her job one night, she decided to take a shortcut through a back alley. However, little did she know that the Synthex agent Janice had just finished up a scouting mission, and was having her usual bit of post mission fun. She cornered Rebecca, and injected her with one of the many mutation serums she carried with her on missions. Rebecca could only watch in horror as her body change from a form of a human, to the form of some frog woman. Janice wasted no time "playing" with her prey, before leaving Rebecca to deal with her new situation.
Rebecca went into hiding, not being able to show her face in public due to the change. However, her luck quickly became even more sour, as Janice managed to find her yet again! Janice had grown fond of Rebecca's mutation, saying she had fun "playing" with her. Janice quickly knocked out Rebecca, and took her back to Synthex HQ.
Rebecca was then subjected to Synthex's conditioning process, at Janice's request. For weeks she was treated to many methods, slowly breaking her down and rebuilding her as the loyal Synthex agent she was told she would be. She tried her best to fight back, to stay herself, but alas it was no good.
Rebecca, renamed Croaker, became Janice's partner in crime from then on. The two would go on missions together, and then have "fun" together afterwards. Croaker didn't remember much of her old life at that point, but she didn't really care either. This was her life now.
However, she had been having some weird dreams recently. A girl named Rebecca was calling out to her. Who was she? And what was she trying to tell her?
"Who knows," she would say to herself. "I am late for my date with Janice!"
